Here is our weekly #YouSaidWeDid update for the #BardonBeat, focusing on our priorities for this quarter — the issues you’ve told us matter most to you. 🗣️ YOU SAID Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) on the parks through the use of off road motorbikes in Greenhill, ASB at some of the local shops in Greenhill and on some of the residential streets in Agar Nook and Greenhill.
✅ WE DID Throughout the past week, your Neighbourhood Policing Team has carried out regular high‑visibility patrols across Agar Nook, Greenhill and surrounding areas.
🔍 What we’ve been doing: • Multiple ASB patrols conducted across Agar Nook and Greenhill • No reported ASB issues identified on several patrols • Repeated sightings of off‑road / Sur‑Ron style bikes in and around the area • Groups of off‑road bikes monitored and incidents recorded on police systems • Attempts made to engage with riders where safe to do so • Body Worn Video used and protect & pursue tactics applied where appropriate • Patrols extended to nearby estates following sightings
👮♂️👮♀️ What happens next: We will continue to patrol the area, gather intelligence and act against those involved in ASB and illegal riding. Your information helps us target patrols, so please keep reporting issues.
🗣️ YOU SAID HGVs ignoring the weight restriction and using roads in Ellistown, Ibstock and Heather when they are not permitted to do so.
✅ WE DID Your Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out targeted patrols in Ibstock and Ellistown to check for issues relating to HGVs.
🔍 What we found: • Patrols completed across the area • No HGV-related issues identified during the patrol • Area monitored and checks recorded • Protect principles applied during patrols
👮♂️👮♀️ What happens next: We will continue to monitor the area and respond to reports of inappropriate HGV use or concerns raised by residents.
🗣️ YOU SAID Vehicles travelling at an excessive speed in Hugglescote, Whitwick and in Thringstone.
✅ WE DID Your Neighbourhood Policing Team has been actively monitoring for speeding, carrying out patrols and gathering information to better understand where the main issues are occurring.
🔍 What we’ve been doing: • Listening to residents’ concerns and reviewing reports • Collecting data and intelligence to identify priority locations • Using this information to plan targeted enforcement
🚓 What happens next: We are planning another dedicated speeding operation focused on the locations where we’ve received the most reports and data. This will help us take targeted action to improve road safety where it matters most.
